The Liberal National Party has surged in the polls in Queensland, while support for Premier Anna Bligh has plummeted.
The latest Newspoll shows the LNP is leading the Labor Party 60 per cent to 40 per cent on a two-party preferred basis.
Labor's primary vote has fallen seven points, from 38 to 31 per cent.
Campbell Newman leads Anna Bligh as preferred premier 49 to 35 per cent.
