A 26-year-old man has faced the ACT Magistrates Court accused of stabbing his father with a pair of scissors.
Police were called to a Ngunnawal house around 5:00pm (AEST) on Friday where they arrested Damien Batchelor and charged him with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The court heard the man suffers from schizophrenia and a mental health report was ordered.
He will appear again in court at a later date.
