Matildas make top 10 in world rankings

Australia's women footballers have reached their highest ever world ranking, breaking into the top 10.

Following their strong showing at the recent FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany the Matildas jumped two places to ninth.

There was little movement in the top 10 with the top five teams, led by the USA, unchanged.

Japan remains fourth despite its World Cup win.

England had the biggest rise, from 10th to sixth.
