Police say a search for two men thrown from a boat north of Sydney on the Hawkesbury River on Sunday afternoon is being scaled down.
The news has come soon after a decision to suspend a search for a 14-year-old girl missing on Lake Maquarie after a similar accident on Saturday.
The two men were in a dinghy on their way back to a houseboat with another man and a dog when they capsized at Wisemans Ferry.
The third man, aged 27, and the dog were pulled out of the water soon after.
The search is continuing for the two other men but with whether conditions worsening and no light police say it cannot go on for much longer.
The incident comes only a day after three teenagers capsized in a tinny on Lake Maquarie just north of the central coast.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17, have received hospital treatment after the ordeal but a 14-year-old girl who was with them has not yet been found.
The search for her was suspended late this afternoon.
