A Perth father and son have been found guilty of murdering a couple and burying their bodies in a grave in Chittering.
Adam and Frank Mikhail have been on trial for the past three months accused of shooting dead Frank and Kim La Rosa in June 2008.
Prosecutors alleged the men murdered the couple because Adam Mikhail wanted to clear a $32,000 debt.
The court was told Adam Mikahil shot the couple at a factory at Welshpool but he was helped by his father who wanted to get rid of a debt his son owed the La Rosas, which included $3,000 a month in interest.
Their bodies were found seven months later in a deep grave on the Chittering property.
A Supreme Court jury deliberated for five days before convicting both men.
Members of the Mikhail family screamed and sobbed as the verdicts were delivered.
Outside the court, Frank La Rosa's daughter Lisa welcomed the outcome, saying justice had been done.
"But, there are no winners here, there are two families now left fatherless and for what - greed?" she asked.
"A word to the criminal element before you go out and do these despicable acts, think about your families."
